Show J ROCK SPRINGS, WY0. j The Catholic church was the scene of a beautiful wedding ceremony on Wednesday, when Miss Elizabeth Hougard became the wife of Mr. John William O'Donnell. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hougard, Hou-gard, and during her residence in Rock Springs, has formed a large circle of friends, who wish her all the happiness possible in life. The groom is a Rock Springs boy, who has grown up here, and who is known and liked by everyone. every-one. He is one of the proprietors of the Chrystal Market, one of the substantial sub-stantial business firms of the city. A number of friends had gathered at the church to witness the ceremony, which occurred at 11:45 o'clock. The bride was preceded up the aisle by her -little sisted, Katharine Hougard, as flower girl, and Master Willie Enderud as ring bearer. She entered on the arm of her father, and made a charming picture. She wore a beautiful gown of white mousseline de soie, over white taffeta, hand-made and trimmed with exquisite lace, and wore a, long veil fastened with a wreath of smilax. The marriage ceremony was performed per-formed by Rev. Father Barrett, who said high mass. After the ceremony the bridal party and a few immediate friends repaired to the Elk hotel, where a delicious wedding dinner was served. Afterward Mr. and Mrs. O'Donnell received re-ceived the congratulations of many friends at the home of the groom's mother on No. 1 Hill, and were serenaded sere-naded by the Saxophone band. They departed on No. 8 for Denver, where they will remain for a brief honeymoon, honey-moon, after which they will be at honr e to their friends on No. 1 HilL They received a large number of wedding gifts, including much beautiful silver and cut glass, from their many friends. Many Rock Springs friends will regret re-gret to learn of the death of Mrs. Hat-tie Hat-tie Barrett Clancey, wife of Mr. Daniel Dan-iel Clancey of Green River. She was born in Green River Sept. 29, 1877. and died at Salt Lake Oct. 8. 1907. The funeral services were held at the Catholic Cath-olic church in Green River last Sunday afternoon and were very largely attended. |
