Show TO BE RESENTED. It is a well-known fact that for many years there has existed among advertisers a deeply rooted .prejudice against the religious press. As far as we have been able to determine they cannot give any valid business reason for the position they take To justify their unwillingness to recognize a Catholic Cath-olic publication, they twist their logic out of shape and give the silliest excuses that could be thought of. Xow a Catholic publication is as good a medium me-dium as any other kind of publication; in fac;, we believe that it is a better medium for the reason that the man or the woman who subscribes for a religious publication does so because he or she is interested in it. Hence it is reasonable to assume that they will take notice of the advertisers who appear in the columns of their favorite religious paper. We do .not understand why the advertiser isn't alert enough 1o see this. Are we different from any other class when it comes to buying the necessaries and comforts of life? Surely not! Our purchasing power is as great as that of any other class. We have here touched upon the situation, situa-tion, and leave you to draw your own conclusion. You have a duty to perform in this regard. Will you do it ? You have it within your power to resent re-sent insults that are offered you by some of the advertisers ad-vertisers who persistently refuse to recognize the ''pulling power" of the Catholic publications who certainly have never tested their strength, and yet do not hesitate to draw conclusions which are an insult to your intelligence.
