Show j VIRGINIA CITY, NEV. At special meetings of the board of directors of the Union Consolidated Mining companies in San Francisco Monday afternoon, D. M. Ryan, formerly for-merly assistant superintendent of those mines, was proomted to the office of-fice of superintendent, to fill the vacancy va-cancy caused by the death of A. J. McDonnell. W. W. Turney, acting superintendent su-perintendent of the Savage mine, was also appointed superintendent at a special spe-cial meeting of the directors to succeed the late A. J. McDonnell. The superintendent of - the Chollar and Potosi mines, made vacant by the death of A. J. McDonell, will be filled within a few days. 'if. . : |
