Show THE BEST OF ALL. As down the stream of life we glide, And vistas open far and wide Along the way, We seek the pleasures of the hour And, like the bee from flower to flower, Live out life's day. Or else perchance by care opprest Or weary work we seek for rest When the day is done. Whate'er our imperfections be -Nor perfect man on earth we see, Ah, no, not one. And so, contented with our lot, A peaceful mind and humble cot, From envy free. Ne'er strive with human pride to cope, But wend our way with faith and hope And charity. , |
