Show j OBITUARY. . Veickmann. At the Holy 'Cross hospital, on Monday, Mon-day, a gentle,, lovable little- woman passed away to the Great Beyond. Her name was Veita Veickman, and she was 27 years old. Although far from home and family, many kind friends were faithful and true to the little woman in her last illness, and still faithful when death came to end many weeks of suffering.-. The funeral took place on Wednesday : afternoon. Rev. Father Reynolds officiating. The women of tlv? Cathedral choir sang three hymns, "Nearer, My God, to Thee." the "Stabat Mater" and "Mary. Dearest Mother." Father Reynolds delivered a brief but touching sermon, one that certainly lert an impression on all present. The handsome hand-some casket was covfered with exquisite floral offerings; and with genuine sorrow sor-row and many tears she was tenderly laid -away in Mount Calvary. May her soul, and all the souls of the departed, rest in peace. Brown. W. D. Biown, 70 years old and for many years a well known resident of Salt. Lake, was struck down by a runaway run-away horse and buggy at the corner of First South and Main streets last Saturday Satur-day afternoon, and received injuries from the effect of which he died at 2 o'clock Sunday, morning. . The funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon and was attended at-tended by hundreds of sorrowing friends, who knew and loved the splendid splen-did man. Ever a devoted husband and father, a kind friend, he won and kept friends in all walks of life. May his gentle sold rest In peace. Mrs. P. J.
