Show . CHAUNCEY OLCOTT'S HEART. Chauncey Olcott, the noted Irish tenor, drew up his will several days ago and provided for the Franciscan Fran-ciscan Brothers of Brooklyn to the extent of $10,000. For many years Mr. Olcotthas been an ardent admirer of the Franciscon Brothers and on many occasions he has made substantial manifestations manifes-tations of the esteem which he has entertained for them. He appears whenever possible at their annual an-nual entertainmentts. On one occasion, being unable un-able to appear owing to his mother's death, he sent the Brothers a check for $100. ,The charities of Mr. Olcott are known to comparatively few. He has made frequent donations not only in this country, coun-try, but abroad, especially in Irelanl, the land which, after his own, is dearest to his heart. There are charities, in the city of Dublin that bless the name of Chauncey Olcotf every day of the year. |
