Logan avenue ave-nue chapel -was the scene of a very leautiful and edifyinp ceremony when the Youns Ladies' Sodality and Children Chil-dren of Mary assembled to do honor to Jhoir Heavenly Queen on the last evening even-ing of the month devoted to her. The altar was beautiful with its wealth of pure white blossoms. and Hie young women nnd girls of the sodalities were appropriately powned in white, wearing on their heads floral wreaths. Rev. Fa-ihcr Fa-ihcr MoMonamin received into the Children Chil-dren of Mary thirty girls who recently made their first Holy Communion. He then spoke eloquently upon the Catholic Catho-lic devotion to tho Mother of God and its purifying influence upon those who j i Tact ice it. The Queen's Daughters' I choir s.-ing. Special services in honor of the Sa-ered Sa-ered Heart will be held at Lopan avenue ave-nue chapel every Friday evening during dur-ing the month of Jimo. Friday. June 7. being the Feast of the Sacred Heart a well as the first Friday, will be a day of particular devotion. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from the first mass at C:30 o'clock until benediction, benedic-tion, which follows the 8:15 o'clock liiass. Church Notes. . Father O Ryan of St. Leo's church conducted service Sunday afternoon after-noon at the Old Ladies' home. The Sacred Heart Hiph school on Lawrence and Thirtieth streets will close on Wednesday evening, June 12. with exercises similar to those which found such favor with the patrons of the school last year. The schools in charge of the Sisters of Charity have adopted the ideas of eastern academies in regard to commencements, and the change from the tiresome essays of the past is a most welcome one. Catholic Educational Institutions. The year Just drawing to a close has (been a very successful one in Catholic educational circles. The schools all report re-port increased attendance and have been able to make valuable additions to meir equipment in the way of libraries, libra-ries, chemical and philosophical apparatus, appar-atus, globes, charts, etc. Teachers and pastors have every reason to congratulate congratu-late themselves, but perhaps the most pleased one is Rev.
