Mr. j Casey is here in connection with some of his mining ipterests. Mrs. John I. Mullins entertained at cards on Wednesday afternoon at her home 1328 Gilpin street. The decora-lions decora-lions were all in Japanese, and thb charming hostess and her assistants were attired in Japanese costume. Miss Genrose White won the first prize. Among the guests were Mrs. M. A. Perry, Mrs. W. H. Andrew. Mrs. William Horan. Mrs. George Allan Smith. Mrs. John Reddln, Mrs. John Murphy. Mrs. Ga gg. Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Henry Vidal. Mrs. Boyd, Mrs. Thomas. Mrs. Oakes. Mis. Gerkin and the Misses Yc.ungst. Doyle. Gerkin, "White and Mullins. The Guardian Angel Guild was entertained en-tertained at cards last week by Mrs. I E. F. Murray at her home on Logan I avenue. Prizes were won by Mrs. Daniel Dan-iel Saver, Mrs. Buttcrfield and Mrs. T. E. McKenna. The guild met last Wednesday. Oct. 11. with Mrs. J. W. Benson. 1819 Gilpin street. Mrs. Margaret Donovan of Chicago, who has spent the summer as the guest of Miss Anna Victorine Connor of 765 Corona street, has returned to her home. . Mrs. Jacob Scherrer and ' daughters have returned from their summer home in the mountains and are at 1567 York street. Miss Grace Harrigan. former organist of Sacred Heart church, has returned from a year's sojourn in New York.- Miss McCartney of Chicago is a Denver Den-ver visitor. John D. McGilvray of California, formerly for-merly of Denver, was the guest of honor hon-or at a pleasing little party given on Sunday evening by Mr. and Mrs. E. P. McGovern at their pretty home on Pennsylvania avenue. Mr. McGilvray was in Denver for just a few days and his old friends were invited in to meet him once more. The hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. McGovern was a delight to their friends. ' . |
