St. Clair ol Butte is visiting his sister, Mrs. C. n. Jenkinson. Mrs. Arthur Bird and Miss MeCor-nick MeCor-nick will return home from the east very soon. Mrs. William Ryan and children re-I re-I turned to Eureka last week after a pleasant visit to this city. J. C. McChristal was in the city last week from Eureka. Mr. James P. They will spend three months in a tour of Europe and Palestine, Pales-tine, and perhaps a visit to Egypt. Mr. L. O'Meara. after spending part of the week in Washington, came from Philadelphia to spend"" Sunday in the metropolis, as is his habit. Miss McGlintock, returned last week from a trip to California. A pleasing literary and musical programme pro-gramme will be given at the Utah state penitentiary this alternoon (Feb. 22). ' Judge Thomas Maloney of Ogden was a city visitor last week. Mrs. Thomas Carter returned last week from California. James McFarland of the Denver Pinkerton agency is spending a few days in the city. An elegant reception was given to j Rabbi Reynolds and his bride, by the Peixotto lodge last Wednesday evening. even-ing. Dominick Dignan came down from Ogden last week to visit his mother for a few days. Mrs. C. H. Brink entertained the members of the Utopia Card club on Wednesday afternoon, in her own charming manner. Prizes were won by Mrs. A. T. Kerr, Mrs. H. R. Ayers and Mrs. James O'Connor. Mrs.-M. E. Callahan Cal-lahan will entertain the ladies on March 5 at the residence of Mrs. J. D. La Fargo, 435 East First South. |
