Show OBITUARY. The death of Mr. J. H. Karty last week caused sorrow in many hearts. The deceased was a man or' tine character, char-acter, who won and retained the friendship friend-ship of all who knew him. His body I was shipped to his old home at Lafay-j Lafay-j ette, lnd., for interment. Mr. Karty I was for a long time a member of the ' choir at St. Mary's, and his old associates asso-ciates felt his death most keenly. The sympathy of many friends is extended ex-tended to Mrs. Hansen over the death of her little daughter. Viola, which occurred oc-curred .last week. Viola was a most winsome, lovable child, the darling of a widowed mother, who is disconsolate. May the thought that her little one is safe forever in God's tender keeping comfort her in her desolation. It is with deep regret that we chronicle chron-icle the death of Michael Oakes. who died on Tuesday at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Thomas Nugent. The deceased de-ceased was a native of Ireland and was 6S years old. His funeral occurred from St. Patrick's church on Thursday afternoon. after-noon. Rev. Father Curran officiated and paid a well-merited tribute to the life and character of the genial warmhearted warm-hearted Irishman.
