Show SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. I t ; Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Salisbury returned re-turned Monday evening from their wedding trip, and are here with Mrs. Salisbury, who entertained at a family dinner in their honor Tuesday evening. J. Arthur Bracken of Oakland, who has spent the past month with his grandmother, Mrs. B. A. Canning, lefi Friday for his home. The marriage of Miss Irene Stack and Dr. Leo F. Hummer took place Thursday morning in Chicago at the Church of St. Matthew. Miss Clara Meyer and her aunt, Miss Mary Pryor, left Friday night for a month's visit in Denver. Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Sherman, who have spent a year in Washington, D. C, will leave soon for Seattle, Wash., going by way of the Canadian Pacific. Pa-cific. They will spend two weeks here with old friends early in September. Mrs. Porter Sinclair and her daughter daugh-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Will Gray, who have made their home in St. Anthony, Ida., after leaving here several years ago, are now in Oakland, Cal., where they expect to reside. Miss Lydia White is spending two weeks as the guest of Miss Ruth Tre-week Tre-week in Park City. Miss Dorothy Kinney has returned from a trip to Europe and is a guest at the Judge home with Mrs. John T. Woodward. Mrs. J. D. Sullivan and son Carroll left Monday for a visit to Battle Creek, Mich. Paul W. Belcher arrived Monday evening from the University of Pennsylvania, Penn-sylvania, where he has finished his third year in college. Mrs. C. J. Collins left Saturday for Kalamazoo. Mich., where she is called by the illness of her daughter Margaret, Mar-garet, who has been attending school. Mrs. Matthew Cullen entertained a party of eighteen friends Tuesday at a morning bridge, followed by a luncheon, lunch-eon, at her home on Fifth South street. Sweet peas were used to decorate the dining room, and red roses through the house. Mrs. Louis C. Robinson entertained a few friends last Saturday afternoon at a tea at her home for Mrs. Gustave Luelwitz of Spokane. The rooms were bright with roses, the crimson rambler used in the dining room being especially espe-cially effective. Mrs. Robinson was assisted by Mrs. Edward McGurrin, Mrs. Shaughnessy. Mrs. John E. Woodward, Mrs. George K. Smith, Miss McMillan, Miss Mildred McMillan and Miss Mary Brodie. |
