Father Conway left last Sunday for Denver and Cheyenne, and will be absent ab-sent a couple of weeks. The last Sunday of June was celebrated cele-brated with great devotion. Many persons per-sons made several visits during the day In order to gain the indulgence granted by the pope, and the number of communions com-munions were large. Joseph and Elizabeth Desrosier are home from their school in Canada to spend the vacation with their parents on North First street. Mr. D. Vollumer left last Sunday to join his family, who are spending the summer months in their old home. Prairie du Cheime, Wis. He will remain re-main till about October. Mr. Tom Knowles, after spending several days at home and Glen wood, returned to his "outting" at Gunnison. Mrs. J. C. Vining of Colorado Springs spent several days here last week visiting vis-iting with her brother and sister, Mr. J. W. Moran and Miss Nellie Moran. Mr. Moran has opened up the neatest and best candy and ice cream parlors j in the city, and there is every reason to believe that his patronage will increase in-crease every day, as Mr. Moran is an up-to-date man along all the lines, which take to make a thorough business busi-ness of this kind. His sister. Miss Nellie, Nel-lie, fills the capacity of cashier. Miss Agnes Cosgrove has returned from St. Mary's academy. Salt Lake, Utah, to spend her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Cosgrove Miss Agnes is quite a talented musician, musi-cian, and her performing on the piano shows some good, hard studying in the last nine months. The Ladies' Aid society served the refreshments at the ball in the Auditorium Audi-torium on the evening of the Fourth. Quite a neat little sum was realized and the ladies all did their best to make it a success. Mrs. A. Sims goes in st Pni month on a . visit to her father and mother. Her numerous friends wih her a pleasant time and a Joyous reunion re-union in the family home. |
