Show ANACONDA, MONT. Walter O'Neill, the 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Con O'Neill, died Monday of meningitis. The boy had only been ill two days, the attack coming on while he slept. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made. Miss Nell Sheehan of Butte is in the city visiting her parents. Miss Mary O'Dea. one of the local teachers, is ill at the Montana with mumps. J. T. Byrne of Butte was in the city-Monday. Mrs. William Melloy of Butte is visiting visit-ing her sister, Miss Cuddihy. George A. Barton has gone to Salt Lake, where he will enter the employ of the O'Donnell Undertaking company. Practically all the Catholic clergy of Butte and many deeply interested members mem-bers of Sacred Heart parish were present pres-ent Sunday afternoon to witness the dedication of the recently completed home for the sisters who teach in the Sacred Heart parochial school. Rev. Father DeSiere of St. Patrick's church j officiated at the ceremonies, which were of animpresslve character. The new home, a two-story frame structure, is located immediately south of Sacred Heart church, and is comfortably equipped in every particular. Sacred Heart parochial school is in flourishing condition. Its enrollment list is constantly con-stantly increasing. Rev. Father Lesh-ner Lesh-ner represented Sacred Heart church parish at the dedicatory services yesterday. yes-terday. Rev. Father Carr is visiting on the Pacific coast. The formal opening open-ing of the new home will be next Thursday, when a reception will be held for the parishioners during the afternoon after-noon and evening. A well attended meeting of the South Side Social club was held Sunday night. Many matters- of interest were considered consid-ered by the members. It was decided to have the next social session of the club at the Holland roller rink the evening of Tuesday, November 19, instead in-stead of on the evening of November 20. The club was recently organized by Rev. Father A. D. Laitham, pastor of St. Joseph's church, and it already has a membership of 150. |
