Show j CHURCH NOTES. ! The altars presented a very dainty appearance last Sunday, the credit of which is due to Mrs John Crifrin. Last Sunday the Children of Mary rtieived Holy Communion in a body at the S o'clock Mass. The regular monthly meeting took place at St. Mary's Academy in the afternoon. Services will be held at the penitentiary peniten-tiary on Sunday. Special music will be a feature. Mr. H. McCorkle will sing two bass solos and Mr. Cassio lira lining li-ning violinist, will render a solo. Little Nellie Geary was the soloist at the 9 o'clock Mass last Sunday. -fy Miss Owen will sing an "O Salutaris" by Hoerdese at St. Mary's on Sunday. She will be assisted by 4 double pusr-tttte. pusr-tttte. Parents are requested to send their children to the choir rehearsal held every Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Confessions are heard every Saturday Satur-day afternoon at 3:30 and evening at 7 o'clock. Rosary devotions are held every evening at 7:30, and Benediction of the Plessed Sacrament is given every Wednesday Wed-nesday and Friday evenings. -ir- The week morning Mass is celebrated at 7:30. Masses on Sunday are celebrated at , y and High Mass. at 11 o'clock. -i, Services will be held at Mercur next Sunday. Rehearsal for the members of Mie 11 o'clock choir is held every Friday evening at S o'clock. Mis. Nellie Wall and Mrs. J. Kirk will attend to the altars this week. Thursday being the feast of Blessed Margaret Mary Alacoque, a large number num-ber attended Mass and received Holy Communion. a i A pleasing feature of the musical services at St. Mary's last Sunday was an exquisite rendition of the "Holy City" by Mr. Cassio Rranning, violin- The floral offerings at the funeral of Mrs. S. C. Ewing were the most beautiful beauti-ful ever seen in the rliun h.The sanctuary sanc-tuary was transformed into a bower by an elaborate profusion of palms,. pot(ed plants and cut flowers. The music was beautifully rendered by the choir of the cathedral, consisting of Mrs. C. C. Slade, Miss Owen, Miss Rossi, Ros-si, Miss Jorgenson, Miss Falek, Mr. '(". c. Crawford. Mr. C. A.
