Show PATRICK PHEXAN'S WILL. In Petition For Probate Value of Es-t?.t3 Es-t?.t3 is 30,000. The will of the late Patrick Phelan was filed for probate in the district court by Bishop Laurence Scanlan of the Catholic church. Judge W. C. Hall and Stephen Hays, who are nominated in the testament to act as executors, and who consent to serve and petition peti-tion for appointment to carry out the. directions of decedent with reference to the disposal of his estate. The property, as was stated in The Herald Her-ald last week, is willed absolutely to the executors named, to- hold in trust for the use and benefit of St. Ann's orphanage and all dependent minor orphans, without regard to creed, who seek a home at the Institution founded by Bishop Scanlan. In the petition the value of the estate es-tate is conservatively estimated at J7S.029.07. consistlne nf SI? fiSfl F,7 in bank, government bonds listed at $2.-, $2.-, 100, Deseret National bank stock at $6,000, shares in the National Bank of the Republic at $1,500, real estate mortgages at $3,750, a fourth interest inter-est in the White house corner, valued at $25,000, and several pieces of real estate and houses in various parts of this city, valued at $20,922.50. The will is dated Jan. 14. 1896. at this city, and the subscribing witnesses are Joseph T. Richards and Annie ! Longmaid. This was at a time when the orphanage was struggling for an existence, and the wealthy benefactor was 64 years of age. The petition for i probate will be heard on Nov. 1. |
