Sodality of the Blessed Virgin. The Sodality of the Blessed Virgin, I heretofore known as the Y'oung xa- I dies' Sodality, held its monthly meeting meet-ing in Logan Avenue chapel last Sunday Sun-day afternoon. Although the attendance was small, the meeting was one of the most pleasant pleas-ant held in some time. The new Sodality room is very artistically ar-tistically furnished and is in itself an incentive to devotion. The office was recited in a most devout manner, after which, there being no religious instruction, the entertainment began. Miss Mary Mulrooney proved herself a thorough musician by her artistic rendition of some very difficult selections. selec-tions. Miss Blanche Crean charmed the audience by her sweet voice, accompanied accompa-nied on the piano by her sister. Miss Mabel Crean. She sang "December and May." Miss Rosalind Shiel followed fol-lowed with "The Princess." a most difficult but well prepared recitation, admirably suited to her excellent voice. Rev. Father Callanan arrived just at the conclusion of Miss Shlel's recitation, reci-tation, and seemed much disappointed at having missed the programme. Miss f'delie Petitclerc then gave an impromptu im-promptu piano selection, which received re-ceived showers of applause. The meeting concluded with a little social conversation. The next meeting will take place on the second Sunday of November. |
