Show Preston To Observe July 4th With Patriotic Program; Parade and Fireworks Slated SPEAKER SLATED FOR EVENING MEET Patriotic Parade To Be Held Morning Of Independence Day Preston completed plaus this week to observe Independence Day on Friday, July 4, with a pa triotic program on the evening of July 3 followed by a par.uie and a sports program during the forenoon fore-noon of the Fourth. The patriotic meeting to be held at 8.15 on ;he evening of July Z at the hUl s 1 1 oi auditorium w 11 feature an address by w?ll-known w?ll-known speaker from either Salt Lake City or Pocatello. Congregational Congrega-tional singing, posting of colors, and several musical numbers aru on the program. (See complete program listing in this issue). A display of fireworks will be featured at 9:30 p. m. at the high school stadium at the close of the program. On Independence Day there will be a sunrise salute, and at 9 a. m. a patriotic parade will be held. At 10 o'clock; at the high school stadium sta-dium a program of sports and amusement will be conducted for all age groups. All children are welcome to participate in the parade providing they portray something patriotic or pertaining to Independence Day. A prize will be given all children in the purade as well as cash awards to the best in each lection. Sectioning will be an follows: fol-lows: tricycles, bicycles, baby buggies, bug-gies, wagons, ponies, other vehicles ve-hicles and animals. Children may parade in groups or individually. Parade will form at Centra school at 8:45 a. m., and will be routed from, the Central to First West then North to First North and East to State streot from where it will inarch to First South and East to Jefferson school. ; General chairman of the program pro-gram is Dr. Orvid Cutler, assisted by Paul Boeticher, W. 11.
