The program was presented hy the following; Preliminary music, Mrs. Lima lliiken; duets by ite- ; becca and Florence Lewis; guimr selections by Mrs. George Hurgi, accompanied by Mrs. S. I'. Packer; ; poem, read by Wayne Meow; song by Karl Lewis; incidents in lives of the guests of honor were given hy Mrs. Ida Howell. The main speaker of the evening was Bishop Dow Lewis of Lewis-ton. LJNDSAY-WTLLS .WED IN SALT LAKE CITY Pearl Lindsay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Lindsay and Cliff Wills, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wills exchanged nuptial vows at Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wills left on a vacation trip to San Francisco on a scenic trip through the north-(wet north-(wet immediately following the short ceremony. They will be at home in Preston where Cliff is engaged in the automobile business. busi-ness. MRS. DUNN HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Rulon Dunn was hostess Thursday afternoon for club asso ciates at her home. A tasty 1:30 luncheon was served serv-ed to the guests. Mrs. Lynn Petterborg won score honors at the afternoon of bridge. MLTUALS ENJOY CANYON PARTY The men ana women o: the Oneida Onei-da Stake Mutual enjoyed a chicken supper at the C&mmunity camp on Cub river last Tuesday evening. Committee in charge of the arrangements ar-rangements was Mrs. Blanche Hol-lingsworth Hol-lingsworth and Elmo Keller. RED CROSS KNITTING GROUP MEETS Members of the Red Cross Knitting Knit-ting group met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. J. C. Peterson. The afternoon was spent in knitting, knit-ting, garments for distribution by the Red Cross. Light refreshments were served to, the nine members present, closing clos-ing the social afternoon. A boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. John D. Eskelson of Preston on June 18 at the Preston hospital. SURPRISE PARTY FOR EARL -WEAVER Mr. and Mrs. Earl Weaver were pleasantly surprised by their children chil-dren Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnsen. The occasion occa-sion was Mr. Weaver's birthday. Dinner was served at 2 o'clock. The centerpiece was a beautiful decorated birthday cake. The place cards were original verses by Mrs. Johnsen. Among those present were Mr and Mrs. Joe Johnsen, Mr. and Mrs. Kooeyman and son, Jimmy, and Mary Lou of Salt Lake and I Earl Benson and Jenalee Weaver. 1 A very pleasant afternoon and evening was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Geddes of Banida are the parents of a. girl born June 22 at the Preston hospital. |
