Show JOHNSON DELEGATE AT NATIONAL MEET Ben Johnson who has just completed a term as a national director of the Junior Chamber of Commerce returned here Monday from Minneapolis, Minn, where he attended the national convention of the Jaycees. As a candidate for the office: of national vice-president, Mr. Johnson John-son was one of the speakers at the national convention. According to reports his address was well received. re-ceived. Walter W. Finke, Minnesota director di-rector of social welfare, was elect-i ed national president of the organization organ-ization in a unanimous ballot. Vice presidents from western United States included Binford Aj'ney of Austin, Texas; Cedric Browne of Santa Monica, California; Califor-nia; and Ernest T. Hertz of Billings, Bill-ings, Mont. Mr. Jonnson" addressed the convention con-vention on "coordinating Industry and Agriculture." He urged the development de-velopment of self sufficiency and pointed out that the agricultural income must be placed on a parity with industrial income to insure national economic security. The present agricultural parity program pro-gram is not sufficient to accomplish accom-plish this, he stated. |
