Show THATCHER S THATCHER The Thatcher town team was the victor of the Outlaw Out-law tournament at Bancroft last week. For their brilliant work they received a beautiful trophy. Don Smith received a medal for the place of an all-star player on the first team. Mr. Winslow Ames, and Charles Clark also received medals for the all-star players on the second team. Gene Smith of Pocatello is spending spend-ing the week with his brothers whoi reside at Cleveland. Charles Clark was a din..3r guest of Miss Mary Lenkersdorfer Sunday afternoon. The sub-district tournament will be held at Soda, Springs beginning February 26 to 28. The Messrs. Don and Harold-Smith Harold-Smith have been business visitors at 'Pocatello and Burley the past few days. The M.I.A. stake Gold and Green Ball which was held Saturday night was a big success. The hall was decorated to represent a Japanese garden. This year a different plan was followed by noti choosing a queen for the stake. The queens from the wards were as follows: Miss Wanda Harris, Mound Valley; Val-ley; Miss Beulah Walton, Cleveland; Cleve-land; Miss Esther Westerburg, Williams Wil-liams ward; Miss Bernice Lloyd, Grace First ward; Miss Earline Whitehead, Bench ward; Miss Ra-monai Ra-monai Rasmussen, Lago ward; Miss Maxine Hogan, Thatcher ward. The Thatcher "Hornets" have a game scheduled with the Montpelier Montpe-lier team Wednesday night at Montpelier The M-Men Tournament of Bannock Ban-nock stake will be held this week beginning Monday night at Grace. Tuesday night at Thatcher, Wednesday Wed-nesday night at Grace and Thurs day night at Thatcher. Miss Lorraine Perry and Miss Mardine Harris motored to I'nc.x tello Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Stephenson and Mr. and Mrs. Adrian CaUalnn were entertained at Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Rasmursen's Sunday. Berdean Mendenhall has boci ill the past few weeks but is now on the road to recovery. Harris Stephenson is ill with in-j in-j fluenza. |
