Show Chamber of Commerce To Start Membership Drive i: TEAMS NAMED TO CANVAS COMMUNITY Rs-organization Is Underway To Complete New Setup Preston's Chamber of Commerce Com-merce drive to obtain a UK) per cent membership in 1941 will get underway here Thursday Thurs-day morning at a breakfast meeting of the Board of Governors Gov-ernors at the Club Cafe when final plins for the drive will be completed, President T. R. Bowden announced this week. At a special re-organizntion meeting meet-ing held (his week, tentative plans were adopted and a membership committtej comprised of 13 teams to make contacts with every business busi-ness and professional man in the community were appointed. Early nexti week these teams will make the rounds to obain a pledge of 100 per cent. A survey of attainable membership mem-bership in the Chamber wc.-a Mr-ported Mr-ported on at this week's meeting, meet-ing, cetting a goal of 200 members. mem-bers. Reorganization plans are going rapidly ahead, and: although a complete com-plete statement on the extent of the changes in the new setup will not be, available until next week, a new type of organization will likely like-ly be the result.
