Show County Democrats Announce Campaign board, Platform The Democratic Central Com mittee of Franklin county this week announced their campaign board for the coming election campaign and an eight-point platform, plat-form, i The .campaign board will be headed by Chairman G. A. Brower and will include E. S. Merrill, P. J. Evans, Henry Rawlings, Mrs. Emma States, Mrs. Cathriue Whitney, Whit-ney, George Choules and Dennis Lowe. In their platform they pledge support to the state and national Democratic platforms to the end that the forces of special privilege privi-lege may be routed and the liber, ties and welfare of the common poople be upheld and defended. They pledge to support all activities activ-ities of the state and national government gov-ernment designed to improve the condition of the people to the end that the mutual cooperation of these agencies shall provide for the greatest good of the greatest number of citizens. The state legislative candidates pledge to support all legislation introduced in the next session o the state legislature that win pro, vide adequately for the needs of the aged, sick, bland, and physically physi-cally incapacitated members of the community, and to be diligent in supporting all practical proposals pro-posals for the improvement of the condition of the farmerB and workers of the state. They favor (he conservation of the natural resounces of the state aud believe that the agricultural, forest, minerals, min-erals, and water of the state should be preserved and developed for the benefit of all the people. They also believe that the education educa-tion institutions and facilities Of our state should be enlarged and improved and favor the equalization equaliza-tion of the cost thereof. Believing that all public officers are public servants who owe a duty to be courteous and obliging to all of the people they pledge all of their candidates to so conduct con-duct themselves after their election elec-tion that all citizens will feel free to approach them on any public business without fear of discourtesy. discour-tesy. Believing that good roads are essential to community progress they favor and shall support all proposals for the building, extension exten-sion and maintenance of a county road system that will be adequate for the needs of the county.
