Show FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED FOR FAIRVIEW WOMAN Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Wednesday in the Fairview ward chapel for Agnes Lillian Thomson Gilbert, 72, who died at her home in Fairview Saturday morning from a heart attacn. Mrs. Gilbert was born February Febru-ary 8, 1868, a daughter of George and Alice Tomlinson Thomson. She had been a resident of Fair-view Fair-view for the past 48 years. On March 28, 188 she married Elijah Gilbert in the Logan temple. He died last year. Mrs. Gilbert had been a faithful faith-ful worker in the LDS church, being be-ing active in Relief Society and primary work in the Fairview ward. She had been Relef Society secretary for the past 23 years and as counselor under three presidents. presi-dents. She had also been president presi-dent of the primary. While Fair-view Fair-view had a post office she served as postmaster. Surviving her are two sons, Ett-na Ett-na Elijah Gilbert of Downey, and Hazen A, Gilbert of Fairview; five daughters, Mrs. Lillian A. Lowe of Compston, California, Mrs. Jennie G. Porter of Mapleton, Mrs. Olive G. Baker, Mrs. Beatrice G. Johnson, and Mrs. Lucille G. Stokes of Preston; and the following follow-ing brothers and sisters; George M. Thomson of Logan, Utah; Joseph Jo-seph R. Thomson and Mrs. Maggie Mag-gie T. Merrill of Richmond and Thomas R. Thomson of Preston, 42 grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Interment took place in the Fairview cemetery under the direction di-rection of the Richards and Sons mortuary of Preston. |
