Show Weston Lone Rock Camp Holds Meet The Lone Rock camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers met at the home of Amelia Heg. sted Hansen last Thursday afternoon after-noon with Captain Maggie H. Pres. ton in charge. Group singing was led by Chorister Mabel Thompson and the invocation was offered by Myrtle W. Morgan. By request of the Weston ward primary officers the day of meeting meet-ing was 'changed to the first Wednesday Wed-nesday of the month instead of the usual first Thursday as Primary convenes on Thursday afternoon. Reports of the different standing committees were heard. Hostess Amelia Plansen gave the history of her father Mr. Hegsted, Mrs. Mabel Thompson led the group in singing the Old Arm Chair, and Here We Have Idaho, and the lesson, les-son, 'Pioneer Homes and Houses" was ably given by Edith Corless. The different committees for the year are Captain Maggie Preston in charge of programs; Ada Porter and the Village Board, the erec tion of Pioneer Hall; Almira Nel son and Polly Coburn, in charge of refreshments; Ess B. Olsen, secretary sec-retary and treasurer; Mabel Thompson, chorister; Rowene Ba-singer, Ba-singer, pianist; Amelia Hansen, parlimentarian; Arilla Price, registrar; regis-trar; Myrtle Morgan, historian; Amanda Fredrickson, Memoial buildng fund and announcer; Margaret Mar-garet Lemmon and Clara Anderson, Ander-son, custodians of relics; Mary Grace Brower, finance; Martha Lundquist and Edna Whitney, flower committee; Myrtle Morgan, Mildred Hansen and Maggie Preston, Pres-ton, local monument committee; Dorothy Binggeli, librarian and scrap book; and Emily Swifel Gassman, chaplain. Mary Lund Heusser was unanimously unani-mously elected honorary mother of the camp. Mrs. LeGrande Spencer of St. Louis, Mo., was a special guest and refreshments were furnished and served by Amelia Hansen, Ada Porter, Almira Nelson and Maggie Preston. The next meeting and luncheon of the group will take place at the Club cafe banquet room in Pres-I Pres-I ton, November 6, at 2 p. m. |
