Show FRANKLIN STAKE SCOUTERS HOLD BANQUET A fine turnout of over 100 Franklin Frank-lin Stake scouters and their wives attended a Scouters' banquet held Monday evening at the Stake House. Fourteen scouters service awards were presented during the course of the evening, nine being for meritorious mer-itorious service and five being for special long-term service in scouting scout-ing work. The awards were book ends depicting de-picting first class ' badge and bronze plaques with the Scout oath inscribed. Awards were presented to Fred Porter, Mapleton, Spencer Condie, Preston; Marvin Neeley, Franklin; James Chadwick, Whitney; John Chapman, Preston; Ray Pratt, Preston; Lyman Purser, Preston, Vernon Sharp, Fairview and George Kofoed, Weston. Special awards were presented to Wm. J. Tanner, Linrose; C. I. I Goff, Preston; Charles Gilbert, Fairview; Felix Feller, Weston, and Karl H. Cutler, Preston. Paul Dunn, Scout field executive for this district, was the principal speaker of the evening. A program and social games were ' also enjoyed. |
