Show Malad Girls Entertained , ByPreston The Malad Girls Athletic association associa-tion were guests of the Preston GAA riday afternoon. Bernice Evans and Zenna Beth Crockett were in charge of registration and report that 30 Malad girls and 37 Preston girls patricipated in the day's activities. Social activities included tenni-quoit, tenni-quoit, volley ball, badminton, and archery. The contests included games in hit pin, tennis, croquet, and Softball. Preston won over their opponents 28 to 4 in hit pin. In the tennis singles Bernice Evans (P) won over Mae Gardner (M) 6-1 and 6-2, but Bernice and Zenna Beth Crockett lost to Malad In doubles 6-4 and 6-2. The Preston team won the croquet match. The teams played two, even inning games in ,'oftball with Preston winning win-ning both 28 to 1 and 33 to 3. |
