Miss Arthella Wickham underwent under-went an operation for appendicitis at the Preston hospital on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bowman of Soda Springs, Idaho, spent Saturday Satur-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Housley. A no-host party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Archibald Archi-bald on Sunday, honoring Mr. Archibald, Arch-ibald, who's birthday anniversary occurred on Monday. Dinner was served and the afternoon aft-ernoon spent visiting. Guests present pres-ent included Mrs. Catherine Archibald, Archi-bald, Mr .and Mrs. LeRoy .Archibald' .Archi-bald' Mr and Mrs. Ray Archibald, and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Archibald, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old Galloway, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Reu-ben Archibald, and Mr. and Mrs. John Archibald. Mrs. James Thompson and her daughters, Mrs. Merrill Wassom of Garland, Utah, and Mrs. Blanch Hansen of Logan, Utah, motored to Dayton on Monday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Buttars. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Checketts and small daughters, spent the week end at Ogden, Utah, visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Beutler of Logan, Lo-gan, Utah, are spending the week in Dayton. They are guests at the home of his son, -Walter Beutler. Mrs. Mary J. Jones spent tho past week at Franklin. Mrs. L. M. Buttars and son, Larry, and daughter, Dee Ann of Ogden, Utah, spent Monday visiting visit-ing with Mr. Buttars' parents, Mr. and Mrs. D W. Buttars. Mrs. William Eck spent a week at Logan, Utah, visiting with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Vale. At the conjoint meeting Sunday evening, the Bee Hive girls gave the program as follows: Scriptural reading, Velma Jensen; talk on the seven points of Bee Hive work by Joyce Nelson. LuJean Smart, Gwen Hulse, Connie Christensen, Vega Bergeson, Evelyn and Joyce Checketts, and a response by the following parents of the girls, Mrs. Edna Nelson, V. D. Smart, LeRoy Hulse, Mrs. Vera T .Christensen, Mrs. Kenna Bergeson, Mrs. Alta Moser, and Mrs. Lucetta B. Archibald. Archi-bald. Wendell Checketts was in charge of the song service with Mrs. lone Dalley at the piano. Miss Ella Phillips president of the Y.W.MJ.A. gave a talk on the work accomplished accom-plished by the girls the past year. The prayers were offered by Connie Con-nie Mitchell and Stella Dalley. |
