She is looking fine and says s'.ie has enjoyed hei sophomore year of college veiy much. Richard and Wendell Fish, sons of Doctor Fish of Ogden, have been staying with their grandfather, William W. Williams for the past two or three weeks. Their father also paid a visit to the valley Sunday. Sun-day. Maurice Wright, son of Sir. and Sirs. Bill Wright, accompanied by his cousin Max Wright, son of Sir. and Mrs. Leslie Wright boarded the train for the east June 9. While there, Slaurice intends to purchase a truck. The other two will motor 'through most of the eastern states and visit Cauda before returning home. Sir. and Sirs. Howard Nelson of Ogden celebrated Fathers' Day with her father W. C. SlcGrcgor. Charles Baker, the oldest resident resi-dent of Franklin, visited with the Mound Valley's oldest resident, J. D. McGregor, Sr., Juno 16. They were acquaintances in the olden days and having been separated for many years, their conversation was interesting to hear. Sir. Baker is SO years old and Sir. SIcGregor is 91. Many girls and women of the Mound Valley ward attended tne bridal shower for Miss Maxine Hogan at the home of Sir. and Sirs. Grover Hogan, June 16. Fifty-six women were to the shower and the "bride-to-be" received many lovely gifts. While the refreshments were being served a number of the girls dressed Miss Hogan in an old gown with a sheet for a veil and a straw hat to match it. She wore red half-socks with canvas shoes w hich the' girls would not allow al-low her to lace. She carried a bouquet of pigweeds and horseradish. horse-radish. Dressed thus Miss Hogan opened her sifts. She and Max (Jones will be married Thursday, June 19 in the Logan temple. Afterwards After-wards they will leave for California. Califor-nia. Sir. and Mrs. Owen D. Clegg of Bench ward were Sunday afternoon after-noon guests of Sirs. Cleggs mother Airs. J. D. McGregor. Mr. and Sirs. Charles Clark will move to Logan, Utah Slonday or Tuesday of next week. There they will make their home. Mr. Clark will be assistant Coach at the A. Cand will start teaching the first part of July. The Slound Valley Cubs played Riverdale Saturday June 14, winning win-ning the game by four point?' Mrs. J. D. McGregor was eer-joyed eer-joyed to receive a telephone call from her son, J. Glen McGregor of Kewanee, Illinois, The call was made for a father's day greeting but the father being away the mother was the recipient Miss Wanda Harris is leaving for California June 27 to meet Mi-Leonard Mi-Leonard Rassmussen. They will be married in the near future. A bridal shower will be given for Miss warns June 25 at the home of Mrs I Leslie Wright. The families of the valley are H'ing to build a co-operative cheese factory where swiss cheese and butter will be made. The fact ory will be built in the lot west of Slendenhalls Service Station w v .'
