Show Airplane With Nine Dead Found in Hills Burbank, Cal., Its nine occupants, occu-pants, including four women and two children, dead in the charred! and twisted wreckage, the $88,000; Lockheed luxury airliner which j disappeared Monday was found Wednesday on a- mountain side less than 50 miles from its starting start-ing point at Union Air terminal here. The plane was Ifound by a farmer far-mer on the side of Mt. McDill, one mile north of the Mint can-j yon highway. Forest rangers, headed by Dan aBrnes, Mint can-1 yon fire warden, confirmed the find. I Reports received here indicated; the plane, apparently lost in the fog which blanketed this whole area Monday afternoon, crashed into the mountainside northeast of Burbank and burned not more than 30 minutes after it took off from the Burbank field. |
