Show AIRMAIL WEEK TO ATTRACT ATTENTION Logan Should Present a Busy Front with Many Attractions At-tractions Offered. It will be a busy day in Logan today with the large program of events to take place. First will be the opening of all the stores at 9 a. m. for the big annual May Special Dollar Day. There will be bargains in all the stores and this should be one of the best shopping days in the year for the public. The Ag club of the USAC will hold its annual Horse Show and Livestock exhibit at 10 a. m. and 1:30 p. m. This show is now recognized recog-nized one of tha best exhibitions conducted by any of the educational educa-tional institutions of the west. This being the National Airmail Week appropriate exercises have been .arranged to take place . at the Logan-Cache airport from 3 to 4 p. m. This will be the first airmail - to be transported by airplane air-plane in the history of the valley. val-ley. The public are invited to attend at-tend the exercises and take part. The Logan senior high school band will be present to give selections; among which will be a patriotic number when the planes arrive from the north and south ati 3:35 .pjn. and when the plane leaves for Salt Lake City at 41 p. m. Short talks will be given, j At 4:40 p. m. the big Dollarj Day parade of the Utah State Agricultural college Band, the ! Logan high ROTC Unit and Drill j Team will take place along Main J street and in front at the reviewing review-ing stand near the front entrance of the Logan tabernacle grounds. The city and county officials, officials of-ficials of the city schools and college, col-lege, the Chamber of Commerce and luncheon clubs will be on the reviewing stand. The drill: team will maneuver on the south, lawn of the tabernacle grounds. This will be the first appearance', of the ROTC unit and Drill Team of the high school this year. Also!' the first appearance of the USAC; band in Logan since its successful" tour of the state where concerts were given in most of leading j cities of the state. |
