Show FARM BUREAU IN DRIVE FOR MEMBERSHIP Reasons Given Why All Farmers Should Support Organization for Own Welfare. Wel-fare. Executive committee members of the Cache County Farm Bureau i met and discussed the membership j jof the organization Tuesday even-j jing at the courthouse. According .to E. E. Hendricks, president, the county is divided into districts jand one oij the officers, of the organization or-ganization Will take a district and check with the local presi-i presi-i dents in an effort to contact the ! 'farmers in many of the commun-; commun-; ities for their membership. I The executive committee feels. , that the organization has accom-J accom-J plished a great deal in securing reductions re-ductions in interest rates, it was instrumental in keeping down the advance in freight rates and has prevented the enactment of legislation legis-lation that the organization feels ! would be detrimental to the agri-' I cultural interests. It is the opinion of the executive committee thatj every farmer in the county should I join the Farm Bureau in order i to assist in accomplishing the most benefits for his own welfare. The annual Farm Bureau outing j was planned for sometime around the 20th of July. j An effort will be made to en-i courage as many Cache County , farm leaders to attend the re-, gional Farm Bureau convention, I ; including the Western States, which jwill be held at the Old Faithful' ilnn at Yellowstone Park on June! 23, 24, and 25. The executive com-1 mittee feels that it will be a fine' ! outing as well as an opportunity i to gain first hand information as to what the organization has done I !and what its plans are for the I future. I I The committee also discussed1 the county fair and committees: , will be appointed within a few days to take active charge of the various departments.
