Show JR BAND Will RADIO BROADCAST the Cedar City Junior School Band will broadcast over the radio while they are on their trip to the District District Rotary Convention in Bosle Dosie Idaho was assured yesterday when the committee in charge of arrangements received a telegram from the Salt Lake Tribune station The broadcasting manager of the Salt Lake station wired that the band bandis is scheduled to broadcast over from 1045 to 1115 p. p m. m Tuesday April The Junior School Band under the direction of Melvin Done will wUI attend d d the District Rotary Convention upon Invitation from the District officers to appear on the regular convention program program program pro pro- gram and the radio appearance was 11 worked up as an added feature of the trip The move to send the band to the convention has been fostered by the local Rotary club and under the direct charge of a committee composed of N. N J J. J Barlow J. J N. N Smith and Menry Petersen A letter was also received yesterday from the Salt Lake Rotary notary Club re requesting requesting re- re questing a band concert by the Junior Band at the regular meeting of the club Tuesday noon The committee Is now working on the matter and at attempting attempting attempting at- at tempting to arrange a schedule that that- will wUl make It possible for the band to accept this Invitation As M yet it has not been definitely decided whether they will wUl be able to leave early enough to add this performance to their schedule |
