Show Poultrymen Attend Instructive Lectures The meeting and lecture for the benefit of poultry producers of the Gunnison Valley Local Poultry Producers Pro-ducers association, held at the high school last Monday evening, was well attended and proved very interesting and instructive. Some twenty-five producers and members of the association asso-ciation were in attendance and the time was given over to instructive lectures by Ray Lund, director, and K. Jensen, manager of the Manti branch of the association. Mr. Jensen gave out many points on the care and packing of eggs by the producer and stressed the importance impor-tance of cleanliness. He said that the local eggs should command the highest high-est market price and that the only way this could be accomplished was through the correct care, cleansing, and packing of the eggs by the producer. pro-ducer. Mr. Lund gave several instructive pointers on nesting and care of the hens and pointed out some of the profits and advantages to be gained from cooperation. Another such meeting will be held next Monday evening at the same time and place, which is another in a series of lectures sponsored by the local association and the public, especially es-pecially persons interested in the poultry poul-try business or intending to enter into the business, are invited to be present. |
