Show Local Cream Pool I Joins Larger Group j Some fifty dairymen of the Gunnison Gunni-son Valley and members of the Gunnison Gun-nison Valley Cream pool, held an interesting in-teresting and instructive meeting at the Gunnison Valley high school Saturday Sat-urday afternoon of last week. The major portion of the time was spent in perfecting the linking of the local association with the Utah-Wasatch Cream corporation, of Provo, and which is affiliated with the Challenge Dairy Products company of California. Califor-nia. After the business meeting the attendants were treated to a luncheon composed, in the most part, of dairy products. O. L. Malmgren, chairman of the local dairy organization, had charge of the meeting, and J. W. Thayne, manager of the Provo concern, gave several helpful suggestions and stressed stress-ed on the advantages of cooperation to the dairy industry. The point was brought out that the local cream pool had already showed to a great advantage ad-vantage with its distribution of some over $1280 to local dairymen, through bonuses distributed on the first of the year for last year's cream crop. Another meeting of the Gunnison Valley Cream pool will be held at the Centerfield meeting house this, Thursday, Thurs-day, afternoon at one o'clock and all dairymen, whether members or not, are urged to be present, as at this time an official cream tester for the ensuing year will be chosen. |
