Show Utah Wheat Farmers Schedule Meetings Five thousand seven hundred Utah farmers who signed wheat contracts have a vital interest in the annual community meetings of the wheat association as-sociation which will be held this week and the beginning of next week throughout Utah. William Peterson, state director for the wheat program, has requested secretaries of the wheat organization to call these meetings for the election elec-tion of officers and transaction of other business. Only wheat contract signers may vote in these meetings, voting to be by written ballot. An absent member cannot vote by proxy. Last year counties were joined together to-gether to form district associations. Each county may have its own organization or-ganization composed of representatives representa-tives from the various communities this year if it desires, Director Peterson Pe-terson reports. The adjustment payment to contract con-tract signers is to be 29 cents per bushel of the farm allotment, compared com-pared with 30 cents for the past year. The acreage reduction for the 1935 crop will most probably be 15 per cent, which is the same as was required re-quired for the present year. |
