Show Oyster Shell Feeding The theory that oyster shell feeding causes the hens to drink too much water wa-ter and therefore causing watery whites is without foundation. "Watery "Wa-tery whites" do not contain any more water or less solids than the regular quality eggs. If hens have fresh water wa-ter In front of them at all times they will not drink too much. The oyster shell merely helps to give the proper amount of mineral needed for the shells, says a poultry department correspondent cor-respondent In the Boston Herald. |
