Show ;Sanpeie Is Allotted $42,425 for Wheat Approximately $738,693 will be paid to Utah wheat growers by the federal government for curtailing production in Utah for 1934-35, according ac-cording to preliminary information in the office of Director William Peterson, Peter-son, manager of the agricultural adjustment ad-justment administration for the state. Of the foregoing amount, about $49,618 will be paid to county and community committeemen, practically all of whom are wheat growers, for their services in acquainting the farmers farm-ers with the proposition, filling out applications, contracts and the necessary neces-sary supplementary papers required by the Washington office. According to the last reports reaching reach-ing Director Peterson, a total of 4,-557.377 4,-557.377 bushels of wheat are represented repre-sented by those who have signed contracts con-tracts out of a total average production produc-tion of 5,554.981 bushels, or approximately approxi-mately 80 per cent of the state's wheat production and 80 per cent, of the wheat acreage. Payments will be made as soon as the papsrs are cleared clear-ed in Washington.
