Show i Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Eggertsen and family motored to Spanish Fork Sun- day and were dinner guests of close friends. Mr. and Mrs. James Bown were at Salina Monday combining business with pleasure. Mrs. Harold Christenson del'ght-fully del'ght-fully entertained for the F. & F. club Thursday afternoon of last week. Contract bridge was the diversion of the early afternoon and first score . prize was taken by Mrs. Leda Childs, j while second place was awarded to Mrs. June Metcalf. Luncheon was served at four, with covers being laid for twelve. 1 Joe Mortensen, who has been at Nevada the past few months, came in from Shoshone Sunday and will spend the winter with his family in this city. I LOCAL ITEMS I i OF INTEREST Mr. and Mrs. June Metcalf and family and Mrs. Joe Mortensen were guests of relatives at Ephraim Sunday. Sun-day. Miss Phyllis Houghton, Miss Bessie Bes-sie Holding, Claine Munk, Ralph Place and iMorris Raikes of Salt Lake City, came down from the north Saturday night and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kimbjal Larsen and ' Mr. and Mrs. Lou Munk until Sunday Sun-day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Vearl Peterson entertained enter-tained for sixteen close friends at their home Sunday evening. At eight o'clock the guests were seated at small tables for a delicious hot dinner, din-ner, following which card playing was the diversion until a late hour. The ladies engaged :'n a game of con-truct con-truct bridge, at which high score prize went to Mrs. Cyril Beck, while the gentlemen sought honors at solo, Vearl Petersen and Merrill Teterson taking their opponents for a trimming trim-ming in this contest. Mrs. Sophus Christensen entertained entertain-ed a group of her friends at hr heme in Centcrfield Monday, when she, celebrated pi.er birthday anniversary. anni-versary.
