Show I FAYETTE j Ella Bown, Correspondent o o Infant Baby Dies. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Christenson died at the family residence late Saturday night, of pneumonia. Baby Christenson was born March 10, 1934, and is survived by its parents and one brother, Keren, Ker-en, age 2. Funeral services were held in the ward meeting house Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Boy Badly Injured. Paul Bartholomew is confined to his home recovering from injuries received re-ceived early Sunday morning when the horse he was riding fell on him. Paul was enroute to his father's sheep camp, a few miles south of here, and was taking a dog with him. The dog was a bit stubborn about following him so he tied the other end of the rope to the dog which he was using to guide the horse. All went well until he was nearing the camp, when the dog ran under a fence and wound the rope around a post three times, and the sudden tightening tighten-ing of the hope jerked the horse over. His father was the first to. arrive on the scene and he found Paul in an unconscious un-conscious condition. Virgil Christenson Christen-son arrived a few minutes later and they took him home and summoned Dr. Hagan. Paul suffered severe bruises about the head and shoulders, but is reported to be recovering. A fine baby girl arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Robinson Robin-son April 30. , Mother and baby are doing fine. Calvin Bartholomew, a senior student stu-dent at the Gunnison Valley high school, is confined to his 'tome with measles. Blain Bartholomew, his mother, Mrs.- Selena Bartholomew,; and sister, Mrs. Sidney Scott of Nephi, left last Wednesday by motor for an extensive trip through Mexico and California. The Boy Scout group from here attended at-tended the division "jamboree" at Gunnison and won a number of first, second and third places, totaling 29Y2 points. The officers and teachers of the ward Sunday school were in attendance atten-dance at the Sunday school convention conven-tion held at the high school building Sunday. ' |
