Show Power Gang Meets For Annual Outing Some seventy five members of the forces of the Telluride Power company, com-pany, including the heads of the various var-ious departments of Richfield, and' all office managers and employees, en-I en-I joyed the annual outing held at the Beaver canyon plant of the company last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. , Johnson were among the crowd and on their return they were loud in their praise of the success of the party. par-ty. Others were present from Salina I Richfield, Panguitch, Milford and ' Beaver. L. R. Fournier, general su-' su-' perintendent for the- system, with headquarters at Richfield, acted as ceremonies, and characteristics of his "mood" he kept matters lively and not a dull moment crept in that would cause "grief and tears." Visiting "shop talk" and p social : time were enjoyed during the early hours of the day and later competitive competi-tive games were started. Keen com-' com-' petition was shown for the valuable prizes offered by the company and during this feature matters were ex-j ex-j tremely lively. During the day the employees were piloted through the Beaver plant, the main plant of the company. Every part was visited and every detail de-tail explained by the station superintendent. super-intendent. This part of the program proved extremely interesting and the "boys and girls" gained a wonderful knowledge of the workings. At three o'clock a basket d;nner was enjoyed. Everyone carried well filled baskets of appetizing food and when the "siren" blew the seventy five were ready for the "eats.'' ' Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, though having hav-ing spent a delightful day at the an-! an-! nual outing, met with a mishap on the'r return trip. When at Cove, a foolish cow got in front of the Johnson John-son car, with the result that a collision followed. The auto went out of commission com-mission through a broken radiator and smashed fender. Neither of the passengers pas-sengers were injured and after a prolonged wait, a passing car carried Mr. and Mrs. Johnson to Richfield. |
