Show baskets. Bridge and solo were the diversions of the evening and at bridge, honors went to Mrs. P. B. Metealf. Mrs. .1. Ci. Dohoty and Mrs. W. G. Roylanee delightfully entertained for twenty-four guests at the Koj lanes ciil'e roeept'ion room Saturday evening. even-ing. Progressive bridge was played ar.d favors were won by Mrs. J. A. Hagna and Mrs. J. B. Roper. The consolation con-solation prize went to Mrs. Hart Sanders. Sand-ers. Preceding cards a dainty luncheon lunch-eon was served. 1 LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mrs. J. B. Roper and Mrs. John A. Sprott were charming- hostesses at a bridge party Tuesday afternoon from two to five-thirty. Favors were won by Mrs. Hart J. Sanders and Mrs. L. G. Anderson. Following the card session, ses-sion, dainty refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Peterson entertained en-tertained thirty relatives and immediate imme-diate friends at a chicken dinner Sunday Sun-day evening. Following an hour at the banquet table, progressive "500" was played, at which prizes wnt to Mrs J. S. Peterson and Byron Peterson. Peter-son. Mrs. P. D. Larsen, who has ben on an extended visit to relatives at Emery, Em-ery, returned to Gunnison Monday. Mrs. N. L. Hermansen entertained for members of the regular bridge club at her home Thursday afternoon of last week. Mrs. J. B. Roper was winner of favor. Lunch was served at three-thirty. Special guests at the party were Mrs. C. M. Edwards and Mrs. Leo Gledhill. Mrs. E. II. Clark is here from her home at Huntington Beach, Calif., and will spend some time visiting with her mother and sister, Mrs. Annie Christensen and Miss LuDeen Chris-tenscn. Chris-tenscn. j Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Buchanan spent a couple of days at Salt Lake the first part of the week. Mrs. Edwards who has been in ill health, was conferring con-ferring with specialists and it was feared that an operation would be necessary. The consulting physican, however, assured Mrs. Edwards that ! the operation would not be necessary ! at this time. Mr. and Mrs.John A. Sprott, who have been the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Peterson for two weeks, returned to their home at Grand Junction, Colo., Wednesday afternoon. Friday evening of last week, six-! teen intimate friends of Dr. and Mrs. : S. S. Kunz gathered at the Niel Sor-enson Sor-enson home and staged a splendid surprise for Dr. and Mrs. Kunz. The guests invaded the Sorenson home un-1 ; announced and carried well filled |
