Show Gunnison Students Registered at U of U Ray .Erickson and Ray Hermansen of this city, are registered for the autumn quarter at the University of Utah. Ray Erikson is a sophomore prc-medic student and Ray Herman-sen Herman-sen is a freshman pre-medic student. There are thirty-five students from Sanpete county attending the Uni-vcrity Uni-vcrity at the present time. The others are from Ephraim, 'Manti, Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, Wales, Fairview, Moroni and Fountain Green. Students from every county in Utah except Dagget are registered for the autumn quarter. Twenty-seven other states of tho United States, ! Washington, D. C, Hawaii, the Thilip-1 pine Islands and eight foreign coun- j tries are represented by one or' more students. The foreign students are from Sweden, India, Japan, Peru, Russia, Rus-sia, Canada, England and Switzerland. Switzer-land. There are 3222 students attending the University, according to figures given out by the recorder's office. This shows a net increase of 219 stu-ents stu-ents over the number registered a year ago. The total enrollment for the college year 1930-31 is estimated at more than 3500. The graduate division has an enrollment en-rollment of 102 students who are working for master's degrees. The registration in the various schools of the University is as follows: Arts and Sciences, 911; Education, S59; Mines and Engineering, 374; Medicine, 213; Law, 199, and Business, 564. The total to-tal enrollment includes 1991 men and 1231 women. |
