Show Gunnison Woman Seriously Injured Mrs. Fred Jackman, residing in the western part of the ctiy sustained a fearful scalp wound and was otherwise other-wise severely bruised and injured on Monday afternoon when she was buried buri-ed under a load of hay on which she was riding, and which was overturned. over-turned. When she was finally rescued rescu-ed from her perilous position it was found that she had sustained a deep gash on her forehead, and in addition the skin had been literally torn from j her head. She was hurried to Dr. j Hagan and twelve stitches were ner-j ner-j essary to close the ugly gash. , Mrs- Jackman, with her husband ! and two children were riding on thu load of hay and when coming down j the dugway near Clarion the loud overturned, burying all four. The children and Mr. Jackman escaped ' injury and they were able to free ; themselves and then net to work to free the imprisoned woman. The Jackman family is destitute, Dr. Hagan stated, and something i should be done to help the family. It has boon suggested that the Hubs and church organizations give snrne aid at this time as the mother will be unable for some time to give proper tare to the large family of children. |
