Show Final Rites For Centerfield Man The last sad rites for Christian H. Christiansen, the highly repsected citizen ci-tizen of Centerfield, who died last week, were held at' the Centerfield meeting house Thursday of last week, Bishop Hansen officiating. Under the direction of Sidney Fjledsted an ap-, ap-, propriate musical program was given during the services and the songs in older were "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow" by the choir, a solo "Face to Face" by E. L. Swalberg, a quintette, "O, My Father," by Mrs. Eva Jensen and others and an anthem by the choir, "Shall I Receive a Welcome Wel-come Hand," Bishop Hansen, Andrew C. Fjeld-sted, Fjeld-sted, Chas. H. Embley and Patriarch John Lai son gave addresses. Each speaker dwelt upon the well spent life and of the efficient labors in the many positions held and filled by the , . deceased. Soren P. Anderson gave the invocation and J. H. Simonsen pronounced the benediction. Following the services at Center-field Center-field the remains were taken to the Gunnison cemetery where final interment inter-ment was held and the grave dedicated by Hans C. Jensen. A large following follow-ing of warm friends and relatives were present at the services and the high esteem and regard for Mr. Christ iansen was shown by the beautiful floral offerings made. Mr. Christiansen, a former resident of Fillmore was widely known in that section and had many relatives there, among them attending the funeral being Mr. and Mrs. Martin Han8en, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Lars Rasmussen, Mrs. Martha Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mountford Mrs. Edwrad Davis, Mrs. Laura Black Mr. and Mrs. William Higgins and Erwin Anderson. |
