Show Eminent Educators For School Survey The completion of the personnel of the survey stall to be assigned to the 'study of the public school system of Utah has been announced by the Bureau Bu-reau of Education, Department of the Interior, accprding to advices received from Washington. The survey will be made under the direct supervision of the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Jno. J. Tigert, who has just returned re-turned from Utah where he made a preliminary investigation of school conditions in that State. Arrangements are now completed by which the following educators will assist in the survey: Dr. Chas. H. Judd, director of the school of education edu-cation of the university of Chicago; Dr. George A. Works, professor of rural education, Cornell University; Dr. Jesse B. Sears, professor of education, edu-cation, Leland Stanford ' University, California, general consulting' advisors; advis-ors; Dr. Fletcher Harper Swift, professor pro-fessor of education, University of California, Berkeley; problems of school financing and school support; i Dr. Julian E. Butterworh, professor of rural education, Cornell university, school buildings. These educators, with at least 10 specialists selected from the regular, staff of the bureau bu-reau of education, will constitute the complete survey staff. Ths.field studies will be made during dur-ing the latter part of March and the first half of April. This survey is made at the request of the Utah State Board of Education. |
