Show Council Moves To j Conserve Water i With a view to safeguarding the city against fire and owing to the fact that the water mains of the city! are troublesome at times, action has been taken by the members of the city council to give ample protection protec-tion and to this end a resolution has been passed that will not only aid, if the citizens cooperate, but will make a financial saving for Gunnison. Gunni-son. The following resolution has been adopted by order of the City council and Marshall Tollestrup, the superintendent of water works, has been instructed to carry out the pro-posd pro-posd plan: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, it is at tims necessary neces-sary to turn the water out of the pipe line from the source of supply for Gunnison city; aul WHEREAS, it is necessary for the fire protection of the city that water be used only for culinary- and stock 'ivatering purposes and not for irrigation ir-rigation or other purposes during the time the water is shut out of the aid pipe line: Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLV- ED BY THE CITY COUCIL OF " GUNNISON CITY that the follow- 'j ing daily method be adopted to no- tify the water users when water is i so shut out of the pipe line, to-wit: j That the bell in the City Hall be rung ; for three short consecutive periods with one minute interval between , ?ach period: that the water may be ; lawfully used for culinary and nec- essary stock watering purposes only, ! during the day the water users are "o notified, and that the use of water ' from the City system for other than ' culinary and necessary stock water- !
