CENTERFIELD BOY INJURED Rodney Chi ids, the 9-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Childs of Centerfield, was painfully injured .yesterday when he was knocked several sev-eral feet by a passing automobile. Rodney was struck in the face by the fender of the car and in addition to being thrown several feet he sustained sus-tained a severe laceration of the lip and his body was badly bruised. The boy, with a companion, was riding on the rear end of the sprinking wagon wa-gon and they suddenly darted c-ross c-ross the street. Just at this moment mo-ment Chas. Morse, United States district dis-trict attorney of Salt- Lake, came along at a moderate speed. He severed sever-ed his car in order to miss the lad, but was unsuccessful. Judge Morse stopped his car and assisted in caring car-ing for the injured lad Eye witnesses witnes-ses state that the accident was purely pure-ly unavoidable. |
