Show PARADE WILL USHER IN THE S. L. ROUNDUP A picturesque parade depicting the spirit of the old frontier will be a feature of the first day's program of the Second Annual Salt Lake Fron-1 tier Roundup, August 19 to 22. j The procession, led by state offi-l cials, will be made up of all the man-j ageable animals assembled for the roundup, the performers in their col-! orful garb, several bands, many floats,! a band of Indians, groups of pioneers; and no end of freakish and novel : stunts. This great annual pageant j has the support of the great industries of the state. They use the occasion as an opportunity to recall the struggles strug-gles and growth that have accompanied accompan-ied the progress from the early territorial terri-torial days. Last year tens of thousands lined the business district and viewed the moving panorama of the old wild west in awe and admiration. The committee in charge is determined to make the parade as brilliant a feature as it was in 1924. Many new and surprising sur-prising features are to be added. |
