Show VANDALS BURN HAY Ernest Madsen, son of Mr. and j Mrs. Anthony Madsen of this city, met with a misfortune at the hands of vandals at his home at Hatch, Idaho, last week according to advices received by the senior Madsen. Ernest who is one of the progressive farmers farm-ers at Hatch, had only lately finished finish-ed harvesting his hay crop. Three large stacks, and estimated as containing con-taining some 100 tons of first crop alfalfa, were burned to the ground. Suspicion pointed to certain parties and after the officers had geen notified noti-fied the sheriff started an investigation investi-gation with the result that two brothers, bro-thers, named Buttfield, had been placed under arrest and charged . with the offense. According to reports i the guilt against the men is strong, ; as the foot prints around the stack ' fitted those of the shoes the suspect-1 suspect-1 ed men were wearing. The loss of the hay will be keenly felt by Mr. Mad-sen. |
