Show Over the TopJIn Xmas Seal Sale Gunnison citizens, at the elev- enth hour and establishing an enviable record, came across with flying colors in the Christ- mas Seal Sale which was waged throughout the state during last month. It was feared by those having the sale in charge that the city would fall below, but in- stead the sale "went over" by a small margin, and for the hearty response the committee in charge here and the executive commit- tee at Salt Lake, are truly grate- ful for the cooperation in the worthy cause. Through the sales in this city $123.89 was forwarded to the executive secretary, J. H. Wallis, and in acknowledging receipt of the money Mr. Wallis highly commended the citizens and the schools for the activity shown. "If you only knew how intensely ly interested this office was in the Christmas Seal Sale between Salina and Gunnison, you could judge of our feelings when we received the check for $123.89," says Mr. Wallis in his letter to J. E. Metcalf, secretary of the local organization. "You came out ahead of Salina by $3.09." ' |
